Mobile gaming company ngmoco is calling all developers to get ready for the upcoming launch of its social network Mobage by opening the Sandbox developer environment. The Sandbox allows developers using the ngCore mobile and social game development engine to test and develop features leveraging the robust Mobage platform.

Already, Mobage counts more than 100 games, including titles made by high profile developers covering the “entire breadth of the mobile, casual and social game development communities.” In the coming weeks, ngmoco will reveal the first Mobage-ready games.

Meanwhile, interested individuals and companies can join the network and begin powering games with ngCore and building features in the Sandbox by downloading the free SDK from here. Using it, developers will be able to access a suite of features to enhance their mobile and social games, including a shared currency, a virtual goods bank system, plus a payment API, advertising management and analytic tools.
