Verizon and HTC have released a small update for the Droid Incredible 2 which promises to deliver “improved server connection for email and contacts.” And while we always advise you to keep your phone’s software up to date, updating with the latest firmware whenever it’s available – this time we want you to be extra careful and backup not only your PIM data (contacts and calendars) but also the existing state of the ROM. Some users are reporting problems with accessing their GMail and other email accounts. It could be a temp glitch, but you never know. So if you do want to experiment, make sure to have an easy way to go one step back, downgrading the firmware to its previous state.
Ready to update? Hit “Settings,” then “Software update” and finally check for the new software. Soon enough, you’ll have the latest firmware running on your Droid Incredible 2. And we hope everything will turn out fine for you…
