Well friends, the long wait for the Samsung Galaxy S II in the United States is almost over as we’ve heard it will be announced in August and Samsung has put up a signup page for the superphone.
The Samsung Galaxy S II signup page asks for the usual information like name and e-mail but when you hit the carrier preference button, you get these options: AT&T, Cellular South, MetroPCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon. That doesn’t mean that it will definitely come to all of those carriers but its predecessor came to nearly every carrier in the United States, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see it land on multiple carriers.
The signup page also has the standard image we’ve grown accustomed to for the Samsung Galaxy S II but it notes that “appearance of device may vary,” and that fits in nicely with what we’ve seen from the QWERTY-keyboard sporting version for AT&T.
Why is everyone so excited about this thing? Well, if you read our review, you’d know that the Galaxy S II is quite possibly the best phone on the market today. It packs an elegant design with more than enough horsepower and we cannot wait to get this in our hands on our favorite carrier.
Are you still waiting for this handset or have you already moved on?
