Verizon Wireless is apparently preparing to additionally beef-up its low-to-mid end offering with the launch of the Samsung U380. We don’t have all the details, but this little fella’ is at the moment at the FCC, where the government employed engineers are testing its radiation levels making sure it’s safe to be used by the general public. From the phone’s filing, we see it’s a side-slider with full QWERTY keyboard, 3G EV-DO radio, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, some camera and a micro USB connectivity. Other than that, we’re clueless about the U380. It could be an Android-based smartphone but it doesn’t have to be. One thing is certain though – once released it won’t cost a fortune with Verizon most likely offering it for next to nothing on some “not that expensive” plan. We’ll see…
