Today Huawei announced two new Android smartphones, the Ascend P1 and P1 S. These Ice Cream Sandwich-toting smartphones are undoubtedly the best offerings to ever come from Huawei, and both best many smartphones today in a couple of categories.
There isn’t much different between the two handsets besides battery capacity and thinness. Even the P1 comes in at an ultra thin 7.69mm, which is ever so slightly thinner than Motorola’s Droid RAZR. But the P1S is the clear winner here, as it measures in at a mere 6.68mm thin. Better yet, even at this thin, the P1S is not as wide as the RAZR, which actually makes the device pretty comfortable to hold in the hand.
Both handsets shares the exact same specifications, essentially. The P1 and P1S offer up a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED Display, 8 megapixel camera on the rear with dual LED flash and 1.3 megapixel camera on the front. Both handsets also offer up 1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM.

Expect to see the handsets hit European markets by the end of March and a US launch sometime before summer.
