Samsung has entered into a strategic partnership with TomTom to offer the company’s maps and location content on the Bada-based Wave 3 smartphone. Under the deal, TomTom will provide information to support location needs of Samsung Wave 3 users, including maps for over 200 countries globally, providing over 35 million kilometers of road network, points of interest, 3D city maps, landmarks, visual orientation and more.
In other words, decent navigation is finally coming to Bada. Now we don’t know what are Samsung’s future plans for its own platform and when the Wave 3 successor will be released. Guess the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona could give us some answers. We’ll see…
