Asus has teamed-up with BlueStacks to bring Android apps to its Windows computers. Under the deal, BlueStacks’ Android player will come pre-loaded on future Windows 7 and Windows 8 PCs, providing users with free access to hundreds of thousands of Android apps. The service is free for six month through asus@vibe entertainment platform, after which users are invited to subscribe to continue using the apps. Alternatively, there’s a free option for folks who don’t want to pay, packing 50 or so of the top apps.
As for the existing Asus users, they are already able to get the Android app player through asus@vibe.
This isn’t really a mobile news but it is somewhat related with Android getting a foothold in the PCs space, big time! How big, you ask? Pretty big actually – Asus wants to make the mobile apps available on 30 million Windows computers around the world. Pretty significant when you think about it…
