Augmented reality app junaio is now in version 4.0, ready to be downloaded from Google Play and Apple AppStore. Available as a free download, it comes with a brand new user interface and experience, featuring “amazing content, incredible interactions and a tool that allows anyone to produce their own experiences.”

As soon as you fire-up junaio, you will be greeted with a quick tutorial, after which you can be transported instantly to smart GPS AR content, displaying information based on your current location. From that screen you need to swipe to access the QR code scanner, a list of new and popular content channels, or a visual search engine.

At the moment, junaio is used by more than 10,000 developers, and with the inclusion of HTML5 and JavaScript that number will further grow, allowing anyone (not just experts) to make augmented reality content and experiences…

GPS, image recognition, visual search and other AR features can be found in a variety of apps, but junaio is the only one that combines them all in a single application.

junaio (FREE) [iTunes link] [Google Play link] – new Android version will be released by the end of the week
