Motorola announced its second device the Droid Razr Maxx HD after taking the wraps off its flagship phone, the RAZR HD. The phone rocks identical specs as the Razr HD, which is a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720p) display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, with only difference being a much larger 3300mAh battery.
Unfortunately, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean won’t be coming with either the Razr HD or Razr Maxx HD until the end of the year. Motorola promised the update for that time frame, so lets see if the company makes good. The company will also offer a Developer Edition for “hacker and tinkerers” that want to load a custom rom on the device. And for those who are stuck in Moto devices unable to get the Jelly Bean update, the company will issue out a $100 discount for to put toward any new Motorola device.
