Looks like Samsung is preparing to launch a Windows Phone 7.8 update for the Omnia W in the near future and… drums please… include so much needed Wi-Fi tethering as part of the deal. According to WindowsPhoneItaly, which managed to get hold off Sammy’s local office, the software is ready and it’s now up to Microsoft to check everything and approve the rollout. Here’s what they said:
The release of new updates (like updating to Windows Phone 7.8) is programmed with timing dictated directly by Microsoft.
It’s good news as we’re sure this won’t be an Italy-only affair with most of the world getting Windows Phone 7.8 soon. We’ll let you know when we hear the update process has started…
