In an effort to appeal to frequent travelers to the UK, AT&T has teamed up with The Cloud to provide its data users with a free 1GB per month when visiting Britain. There’s a total of 16,000 hotspots to choose from, making sure you’ll get your Internet fix pretty much everywhere (where there’s enough people around to make for a profitable hotspot).

To access The Cloud’s network, users will have to use AT&T’s Wi-Fi International app, which is available for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

BSkyB-owned The Cloud continues to add venues to its Wi-Fi network, vying for the title as the UK’s biggest hotspot provider. It faces competition from BT, while even UK banks are launching their own services in their branches.

So, if you already have a data bundle in place and also happen to travel to the UK, make sure to take advantage of this freebie…
