LG has moved half a million Optimus G Pro units in just 40 days after introducing the 5.5-inch phablet in its own backyard. The new figure builds on the initial momentum that saw 10,000 orders at launch, and if the company manages to keep the pace, it could easily surpass 3 million phones shipped by the end of the year. And that’s just South Korea we’re talking about with another couple of million customers in the West eagerly waiting for their unit.

If you’ve been living under a rock, you should know that the Optimus G Pro is one of the best Android devices ever announced. It not only has a huge full HD screen, but also a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. You can read how we like it from our very own review. And yes, you’ll want one the second it’s out.
