Samsung is not relenting in expanding their Galaxy line by officially announcing two previously rumored entry-level devices, the Samsung Galaxy Neo and the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Star. Both models will be operating on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and will use Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.

As far as specs go, the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo will be utilizing a 1GHz processor, while the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Star will be using an 850 MHz processor. Both models will have a 3″ QVGA TFT LCD display, a 2 MP rear camera and 512 MB of RAM. 4GB of onboard storage will be available on both devices, expandable via microSD card to 32 GB. The handsets will come with dual-sim capability, an FM radio and Bluetooth 4.0. GPS will be available on the Galaxy Pocket Neo, but will not making an appearance on the Galaxy Pocket Star.

Pricing has not been announced, but is expected to hit the market at around 150 Euros. While these handsets are not the most powerful of Samsung’s offerings, they could help Samsung gain even more traction in emerging markets.
