Japanese customers won’t get the original LG Optimus G Pro, but a slightly modified version that dumps the 5.5-inch screen for a 5-inch one. The full HD resolution remains on place, giving a more pocketable device as a result (and one I would prefer over the bigger unit). That said, it is safe to bet this model will sell in volumes just like it did in South Korea.

Rest of the specs are unchanged and include Qualcomm’s 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing one, 32GB of internal memory and a microSD expansion slot.

Interested Japanese can get their unit from NTT DoCoMo, which is likely offering it on a number of different contracts.

Still no word when this bad boy will hit the Western hemisphere, though…
