If you’ve been living under a rock, you may’ve missed Xiaomi and it’s great phones. The company has a sort of cult following in China with its phones selling out in days after the launch. But phones alone may not be enough for this growing giant with the new information suggesting they’re also looking to enter the laptop market.

According to rumors spreading across Weibo (Chinese Twitter), Xiaomi may launch a 15.6-inch laptop in August. Reportedly, this computer will come with Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, GT660M graphics and the price tag of just 3,999 Yuan (about $650).

It’s unclear whether Xiaomi’s laptop will run Windows or some Linux distribution. GizChina thinks it will be a custom version of Linux with Xiaomi’s own MIUI running on top.

Yet again, we doubt this product will make it to the West, but if that happens, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned in the meantime…
