Microsoft today announced the availability of Office Mobile for iPhone. The iPhone App is available free of charge today to Office 365 users in the US. It’ll launch internationally in the next few days. Unfortunately, the release is iPhone-only; there is no iPad version.
Office for iPhone lets you access, view and edit your cloud Office documents from your iPhone. It’s a welcome addition for Office 365 customers who regularly use Word, PowerPoint and Excel and are always on the go. I doubt it will sway people away from Google Drive Documents or Apple’s new iWork from iCloud, though. It’s more a convenient add-on for Office 365 customers who use an iPhone as their primary movile device.
