With the leaks of the LG Optimus G2 yesterday, it only seems appropriate to start hearing about the Nexus 5 again, doesn’t it? After all, it’s been rumored for some time that LG and Google are making another phone baby. Well, according Daum, we may be looking at an October 5th announcement for the upcoming device.
The Nexus 5 is said to share similar specifications as LG’s upcoming G2 handset, much like the Nexus 4 shared a majority of the original Optimus G’s specs. The innards inside the device are rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU running at a clock speed of 2.3GHz, 5.2 inch 1080p HD display, 2-3 GB RAM, LTE support, and a large 2,700 mAh battery.
Like all Nexus handsets, the device will ship with the latest version of the Android operating system, Key Lime Pie.
Judging from the Optimus G2 leaks, we’d be lying if we said we had a problem with the upcoming Nexus sharing a similar look and feel to LG’s upcoming flagship device. That said, a 5.2 inch screen is rather large, so it will be interesting to see how many make the jump.
