As a smartphone users, you know it’s getting harder to get through the day on a single charge. Some handset makers are putting bigger batteries into their phones and phablets but most are opting to keep the phone as thin as possible (with smaller batteries).

The Changhong Z9 is not such device. At 9mm, it’s hardly a thick phone/phablet, yet it manages to find place for a massive 5,000mAh battery. That should be enough juice to keep it working for 24 hours and then some.

Rest of the specs include a 5.5-inch 720p HD screen, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back, MediaTek’s MT6589 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM, while Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is running the show.

Unfortunately though, it’s likely you won’t be able to get one of these. As with many Chinese phones, the Changhong Z9 is made for the local market. Then again, we hope that major handset makers will pick some cues and eventually start putting bigger batteries into their products. We would love that, how about you?
