Gmail For Android Updated With Card-Style Conversation View

It looks like the Google Now-style card user interface is creeping into another application made by the Mountain View giant. That application would be Gmail.

Today on Google+, it was announced that Gmail for Android would soon be getting a small revamp, offering up a more streamlined conversation view ala’ the now familiar cards we’ve seen in Google Now. When individual conversations are selected in the application, they now will appear in a card-style layout.

Gmail for Android has also seen a few new tweaks for selecting multiple messages, along with notifying the user when Gmail sync is off.

The update itself will start rolling out in the near future, so don’t worry if you don’t see the update waiting for you in the Google Play Store right now. While this isn’t the biggest update we’ve seen to Gmail, the improved message selection and conversation view is more than welcomed.

So what do you think? Do you like the touch of Google Now that’s coming to Gmail?
