Aside from all smart devices, Nokia is using its big event in Abu Dhabi to launch three new feature phones, members of the Asha family. The new Nokia Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503 include “new enhancements to the Asha Platform for even more intuitive navigation.” For one thing, the updated software enables faster and easier sharing of images on social networks, with one easy swipe to access the camera and one touch to post.
The Nokia Asha 500 comes with a 2.8-inch screen, 2-megapixel camera, and will be available in single and dual SIM variants. It is expected to be available in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East with an estimated price of $69 before taxes or subsidies.
The Nokia Asha 502 features a 3-inch screen, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and Easy Swap Dual-SIM. It will cost $89, hitting the markets of Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
Finally, the Asha 503 is the only 3G phone on the list, sporting a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and Gorilla Glass 2-protected 3-inch screen. Just like the Asha 500, this model will also be released in single and dual SIM variants. The price is set at $99 and it will be sold in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
All three phones will be available in bright red, bright green, yellow, cyan, white and black, and are planned to start shipping later this quarter.
