Samsung announced a successor to the original Galaxy Grand smartphone that has a potential to quickly emerge as one of the company’s best-selling devices.
Specs wise, the Grand 2 rocks a big 5.25-inch 720p HD screen, 1.5GB of RAM, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and two SIM card slots. In addition, it also comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, 1.9-megapixel front-facing one, 2,600mAh battery, GPS + GLONASS, and 8GB of expandable memory. Android 4.3 is running the show with Sammy’s own TouchWIZ UI singing on top, alongside a number of Samsung apps like S Translator, Story Album, S Travel, Sound & Shot, Group Play, Samsung Hub and Samsung Link. Unfortunately, 4G LTE connectivity was not mentioned, hinting us this model is likely heading to emerging markets of the world.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 will be available soon (though we’re not sure when exactly) in white, black and pink color options.
