Cat B100 is the latest device wearing the famous Cat brand. Not famous in the mobile world, but well-known in the construction industry.
So they’re out with a IP67-certified, super tough phone, one that doesn’t pack many features (it’s not a smartphone), but will work in situations where many other phones fail. We’re talking about device that functions at temperatures ranging from -25C to 55C, and can withstand a 1.8 meter drop in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes.
Specs wise, the B100 rocks a 2.2-inch QVGA screen, MediaTek’s modes 6276W chip, 3-megapixel camera on the back, 3G connectivity support, 64 or 128 MB of internal storage, and a 1,150mAh battery that provides some 10 hours on talk time. It measures 123 x 56 x 17.5 mm and weighs about 136 grams.
When it comes to availability, the Cat B100 will go on sale in Europe in the next few days or weeks, with select other markets getting it later this quarter…
