HTC has just sent out invites to the press regarding a March 25th event, at which the company will presumably announce its next flagship smartphone. The device had gone by the codename M8 for some time, and has also been known as the HTC One Two.
HTC’s event will take place in two locations, New York City and London, much like the HTC One unveiling. While the invite is scant when it comes to details, it does mention, “The best is about to get better.”
Looking at rumors pertaining to the HTC M8 that have surfaced so far, the smartphone will be a force to be reckoned with. The M8 is expected to carry on the design aesthetics of last year’s HTC One, rocking an aluminum body, a dual-LED flash and on-screen buttons. It is also said to tout 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 800 processor.
HTC’s event is scheduled almost a month after Samsung is expected to unveil its flagship smartphone for 2014, the Samsung Galaxy S5. Hopefully, Sammy won’t push HTC out of the limelight when they announce the M8 on March 2014.
