LG has just announced two mid-range smartphones at MWC 2014, the LG F70 and LG F90. While the specs of the devices might not be that great, both the F70 and F90 include LTE connectivity in an affordable package. The new LG smartphones take a page from the LG L series when it comes to design, including a physical home button.

While both devices are saddled with just 512MB of RAM, they will indeed run the newest version of Android, KitKat. That’s a first in the Android world as manufacturers usually ship new devices with older versions of Android due to hardware restrictions.

Let’s take a look at the technical specs below:

LG F70

  • 4.5inch WVGA(480×800 pixels) display
  • Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4GB internal storage and microSD card slot
  • LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
  • 5MP rear camera and VGA front camera
  • 2440mAh battery
  • Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box

LG F90

  • 4.7inch qHD(540×960 pixels) display
  • Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4GB internal storage and microSD card slot
  • LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
  • 8MP rear camera and VGA front camera
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box

Both devices will run LG’s custom software, which includes Q-Slide apps. We’ll update you on pricing and availability as soon as they are announced.
