No surprises here – iPad users are downloading Microsoft Office like it’s nobody’s business.
During the recent TechEd conference, Microsoft’s General Manager of Office Division, Julia White announced that Office for iPad has surpassed 27 million downloads in mere 46 days since its launch.
The new milestone follows an earlier report that Office for iPad apps were downloaded 12 million times in just one week. As you probably already know, the Office apps let you edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations on the iPad while maintaining formatting across Office for PC, Mac, tablet and phone.
Microsoft Word is the most popular free Office app on the iPad; it is also the fourth most downloaded free iPad app, while Excel and PowerPoint are ranked at 22 and 26, respectively.
