Three 200-megapixel cameras on a single phone sounds like a marketing stunt. But Oppo has now shared actual hardware details on the Find X10 Pro Max’s camera system, and this is starting to look like the real deal. According to Gizmochina, the brand posted additional specs on Weibo breaking down all three rear sensors, and there’s a lot to unpack here.
Start with the main camera. It uses Samsung’s ISOCELL HPC sensor on a 1/1.3-inch body, with an f/1.5 aperture, CIPA 6.5-level image stabilization, and up to 17EV dynamic range. That dynamic range figure is significant. Most flagship phones top out around 14EV, so 17EV would put this in a completely different bracket for high-contrast and low-light shots. If Oppo can actually deliver on that in real-world conditions, this will be a camera to take seriously.
The ultra-wide is where things get interesting. Most manufacturers treat the ultra-wide as an afterthought, slapping in a mediocre sensor and calling it a day. Oppo is apparently done with that approach. The Find X10 Pro Max’s ultra-wide also gets a 200MP sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and a 124-degree field of view. That’s a wide, wide shot with resolution to spare. Group photos, architecture, cramped interiors — this should handle all of it without turning into a blurry mess at the edges.
Then there’s the periscope telephoto, and this one has a spec that caught my attention. It’s another 200MP sensor, paired with an f/2.1 aperture and CIPA 7.5-level stabilization, which is higher than the main camera. But the detail that really stands out is 10cm telephoto macro support. Close-up macro shots through a periscope telephoto lens is a legitimately useful combo, especially for detail photography where you want optical zoom and proximity at the same time.
Rounding out the camera system, there’s a 3-megapixel multispectral sensor to help with color accuracy across different lighting environments, and a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. So even selfies aren’t an afterthought here.
The rest of the phone’s specs paint a picture of a no-compromise flagship. The display is expected to be a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, Oppo is reportedly going with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro, a 2nm chip that hasn’t officially launched yet. The software side runs ColorOS 17 on top of Android 17.
Context matters here. Oppo confirmed the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max are launching this month, with the event expected to follow Vivo’s X500 series launch around September 21. The Chinese flagship market is intensely competitive right now, and brands are clearly trying to out-spec each other on cameras. A triple 200MP setup is Oppo’s answer to that pressure.
