Last week sometime, I happened to notice a new puzzle game, ‘LetsTans Deluxe’ was available for free for a limited time. The cheapskate in me jumped all over the opportunity, and I’m glad I did. Let me go on to explain why.
Having made it all the way to #1 in the Puzzles category in many areas of the world (US, UK, Canada, France and 4 other countries!), LetsTans Deluxe is a game you may remember from your childhood. The object of the game? Solve the tangram puzzles by placing the pieces within the puzzle shape, leaving no gaps. Flip and turn your pieces by double-tapping and tapping them, and slide them into position by brushing your finger around your display. It’s super intuitive, and as you make your way through the game the tangrams get more and more challenging.
If you get stuck, no worries. There IS a help option built-in that will give you advice by showing where a piece should fit on the board. This really comes in handy on those harder puzzles, or if you’re just strapped for time and want to cheat your way to the end of a level 😛
In all, 1250 puzzles are found in LetsTans Deluxe, and there are 10 game difficulty settings for you to test your wits against. The developers have also let me know that new puzzles and features are coming down the pipe via a free update. Kinda cool.
Lets Tans is available in a ‘Lite’, ’10-in-1′ and ‘Deluxe’ version for the iPhone. LetsTans Deluxe will run you $2.99 (very much worth it). For those that pack an iPad, LetsTans Premium is now available as well, and brings some great puzzling action to your iPad for $2.99 as well.
