Digia, which (presuming it’s the same company) we know for their Symbian–related efforts, is going for the iOS and Android device users. Their new application/service is called Flowd and it’s made to connect music acts with fans.
Users download the free application from where they can access latest news, views, tours and appearances of their favorite musicians. Moreover, fans can check-in to places, send messages, share pictures and connect with their friends from Twitter and Facebook. Additionally, there’s the option to customize the look and feel of Flowd by re-skinning the application with your favorite music act’s theme.
Musicians on their end are able to provide special rewards — things like mobile content, free tickets, t-shirts and other merchandise — to their loyal fans.
Right from the bat, popular DJ Armin van Buuren, UK pop sensation The Wanted and trance DJ Markus Schulz jumped on board and are communicating with their fans via Flowd.
