Sprint Mobile Hotspot device

Sprint and its partner Sierra Wireless announced the upcoming availability of Overdrive Pro 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot, which is the second generation of the popular Overdrive device that allows users to connect their WiFi-enabled devices to Sprint’s 3G and 4G networks.

You gotta be wondering, how’s this better than the original Overdrive? Well…

  • It’s smaller thus easier to carry around.
  • It allows connecting of up to 8 devices simultaneously (up from 5 devices).
  • It comes with a 35% improvement in power-up and power-down times.
  • There’s a 45% large screen from where you can access such information as signal strength, battery life and number of devices connected.
  • The LCD display has also been made even more informative, with detailed connection and device information available through additional screens that can be accessed by double-pressing the power button.

Beginning March 20th, the Overdrive Pro 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot will be available for $49.99 (excluding taxes) after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a two-year Mobile Broadband Plan…
