Capcom arcade classics Final Fight and Street Fighter II Collection released on the iPhone

Capcom sure has been busy with its mobile games lately. I mean, today’s news of Yun and Fei Long being added to Street Fighter IV Volt would be enough to keep iPhone gamers busy for a good portion of the day, but as you can see from the title of this here article, Capcom has released some more goodies onto the App Store.

The first title Capcom released today is Final Fight, which was previously included in the Capcom Arcade app earlier this year. No information was given as to why exactly Final Fight was made available outside of the Capcom Arcade app, but since I’m the media, I’ll go ahead and speculate a band of alien pirates stole the girlfriends of the Capcom Mobile team and the only way they’d return them is if Final Fight was released outside of the Capcom Arcade app. And yes – aliens DEFINITELY have iPhones.

The other app Capcom released today is Street Fighter II Collection and it’s exactly what it sounds like: a collection of different versions of Street Fighter II in one convenient little app. The app includes Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II: Championship Edition, and Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting. There isn’t online multiplayer support like there is in Street Fighter IV Volt, but at least there’s support for local multiplayer via Bluetooth.

As of now, the Capcom Arcade app still contains Final Fight and all of the versions of Street Fighter II mentioned above. The Capcom Arcade app gives you 3 tickets to play any game within the arcade, so if you can get by with playing either of these games once a day, then buying either app won’t be the best option for you.

Final Fight ($2.99 $.99 from 9/15 – 9/21) – [iTunes Link]

Street Fighter II Collection ($3.99) – [iTunes Link]
