Live from CTIA 2011 keynote: AT&T, Sprint and Verizon square off

We’re live at the CTIA show in San Diego and we’re about to hear the day one keynote and it should be a doozy, as the CEOs of AT&T, Sprint and Verizon will duke it out.

We can consider this round two, as AT&T Wireless CEO Ralph de la Vega, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse and Verizon CEO Dan Mead were on the stage a few days after the news came out that AT&T was planning to buy T-Mobile, so the fireworks were flying. Hesse was scoring points left and right in his opposition to the deal, while Verizon’s leader was content to stay above the fray.

With the T-Mobile, AT&T deal on the brink of being blocked, AT&T’s CEO will definitely be trying hard to make the case that the mega-merger should be allowed. Hesse will naturally be against the deal and Mead will likely show off that awesome mustache. Join us for the fun at 9:30 a.m. PST, as we’ll be live blogging the heck out of it.
