Adobe recently announced that its latest photo creation Adobe Carousel is available in the iTunes and Mac app stores. This news comes weeks after the software giant announced its suite of Touch Apps. Adobe Carousel gives users a new way to enjoy their photos, making all of them available across Mac and iOS devices — so users can browse, enhance, and share them easily. Basically, photos are stored over the “cloud,” with no manual syncing, no storage limits, and no differences in which photos are available.
Adobe Carousel will allow access to all photos using the same photo editing tools on an iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The company believes that other photography products out there (on iOS) are inferior to what Carousel offers. In explaining the product’s advantages further, Adobe on its blog said:
“It’s simply something that other products can’t offer and after having lived with it for a few months – I can’t imagine going back. We think that after you use Adobe Carousel for a little while, it will really solve some of those problems you shared with us.”
This clearly aims at taking away the job of iPhoto, if this app works as advertised then it undoubtedly has an advantage over the rest of the photography library apps. The Carousel apps are available in the iTunes and Mac app store right now for free, thanks to a 30-day complimentary subscription.
