It’s not just the green initiative – Verizon Wireless also wants to increase the efficiency of its operations and make things easier for the customers with paperless receipts, which are already available at more than 300 locations across the country.

As a My Verizon user you can access your receipts from the newly redesigned “My Documents and Receipts” section where you’ll also find rebate forms (when applicable).

And since the “innovative digital receipt” creates a “simple, convenient and secure experience for customers,” the Big Read carrier plans to bring the capability at its more than 2,000 U.S. retail locations in 2012.

Already, they’ve replaced paper catalogues and printed material at all of their locations this past year with digital formats, providing access to product and service information using in-store kiosks, tablets and netbooks…

We applaud Verizon for cutting the paper out of equation and are hoping other carriers will follow their example. Simply put – it’s easier for all parties involved to digitize things…
