Sony Xperia T spotted in promo shot rocking AT&T branding

Last week at the IFA 2012 event in Berlin, we all got to see Sony’s new flagship device known as the Xperia T. Of course, at the time, details were scarce when it came to what U.S. carrier the handset would land on. Now there’s speculation that the Xperia T may hit the second largest wireless provider in the United States, AT&T. The device showed up in a promo shot dawning the Death Star logo. The image surfaced on UK retailer Phones4U, which has published it next to the European version of the Xperia T.

One thing that was noticed by Android Central, is how the believed AT&T variant features two seams on the back of the device, which wasn’t present on the devices most of the media seen in Berlin. Furthermore, the phone’s back panel is smooth, with no dividers at the top or bottom. The reason for these slight modifications could be due to the handset’s 4G LTE connectivity, which is unique to this US variant.

The Xperia T is expected to be Sony’s high end device carrying Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a 4.6-inch display (1280×720), a 1.5-GHZ dual-core Qualcomm Krait processor a 13-megapixel camera, NFC and PlayStation certification. That being said, this is all speculative until we hear something more concrete from AT&T or Sony for that matter.
