We’ve be telling you about Baidu’s mobile plans for quite some time now. Heck we’ve even seen what we thought was the first Baidu phone back in May, but apparently that wasn’t the “real deal.” The official Baidu Cloud Phone is in front of you, set to be unveiled soon in cooperation with China Telecom.

Specs wise, this fancy smartphone will rock a 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) touchscreen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, and other “usual for Android” goodies like sensors, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and so on; plus dual-SIM connectivity to allow folks to use it both on China Telecom’s CDMA-based network and other GSM carriers around the world.

As far as we’ve understood, Baidu will have a special skin/software running on top of Android along with a number of apps that will make life easier for the huge army of Baidu users.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know the price and exact release date. If I had to guess, I would say Baidu will competitively price its smartphone, making sure as many users as possible buy it. After all, they get to keep all the additional revenue generated from mobile ads…
