Sony is gearing towards launching a unique store in Dubai. Designed to show off the waterproof capabilities of its mobile devices (both phones and tablets), the forthcoming Xperia Aquatech Store will be officially open for business on December 3rd.
What makes this venture unique is the fact that the store will be located on the seabed, four metres below the surface. In order to access it, shoppers will get help from trained divers to the underwater shop where people will be able to “stand on the seabed and breathe perfectly normally”, all while browsing Sony’s product portfolio.
This concept store will offer customers “an exhilarating and unforgettable experience, highlighting Xperia’s passion for innovation in the smartphone market,” according to Rüediger Odenbach, Vice President of Sony Mobile Middle East and Africa.
