Video: Nokia fixed one of my S60 annoyances!

I changed "Symbian Annoyances" to "S60 Annoyances" since Tommi made the platform’s architecture much clearer for me.

Remember this earlier post:

Take an S40 phone. Leave it alone until it goes in to screen saver mode. Hit a number on the keypad. What happens?

The screensaver turns off, and the number you hit on the keypad is now on your screen.

Take my Nokia E61. It’s in screen saver moder. Hit a number on the keypad. What happens?

The screen saver turns off. That’s it. At this point I have to push that number again for it to show up on my screen.

When I was using the N93 I didn’t have this problem because it was a
flip phone. Now that I’m back to using my E61 I never realized how
annoying this bug is!

My source, who chooses to remain annoyomus, sent me this video:

What you see here is the Nokia N76 (S60v3FP1) going in to screen saver mode. When he hits the 3 button the screen saver turns off and the number 3 shows up on the screen!

Problem solved!

The Nokia N93i (S60v3) next to it replicates the exact same behavior my E61 has.
