Google Navigation is awesome. There’s no other way to put it. If you have a friend with a Nexus One or a Motorola Droid, or that new Sprint EVO 4G, then have them give you a demo. I’m furious, beyond livid, that I don’t have that application anymore since I’m in Finland. When I was in America this January+February it proved absolutely indispensable. Sure, it killed my battery and made me realize I needed some sort of dock and automobile power adapter, but man, I didn’t care about the dead battery because when it worked it rocked. Head banging, fist pumping, rocked.

Earlier this year Google added support for the UK, which was big since that’s quite a large market, well as of today Google Navigation Beta works in 11 more countries. Those are: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland.

Simon and James are going to piss their pants when they wake up and read this. They’re our Editors living in America’s Hat.
