Phone cover/case maker Coveroo raises $2.3 million in Series B round

Coveroo — the company that creates customized covers and cases for mobile phones and consumer electronic devices — has closed $2.3 million in Series B funding. Rembrandt Venture Partners led the round, which also saw several other investors participating, including Consor Capital LLC and Karl Jacob. The company plans to apply the new money toward scaling its e-commerce business, corporate sales, in-store kiosk line and live events business.

Coveroo is in the midst of expansion, having tripled its customer base recently. It has signed key partnerships deals with Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, Marvel Entertainment and several others. Moreover, Coveroo has also added thousand of new designs to its portfolio, established kiosks in major retail locations and expanded its live events business to include video game premiers, movie launches, handset launches and popular concerts such as the Coachella Music Festival.

At the moment, Coveroo’s catalog counts more than 3,000 exclusive designs for all major mobile phone brands including iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and HTC. Designs include exclusive images inspired by popular sport teams, Star Trek, Hello Kitty, The Simpsons and others.
