Samsung 4G LTE mobile hotspot

Verizon and Samsung announced the availability of the carrier’s first 4G LTE mobile hotspot device. The 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot lets Verizon’s customers share their fast mobile broadband connection with up to five WiFi-enabled devices at the same time. The mobile hotspot will deliver download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in areas with LTE coverage. If you travel in areas without 4G coverage, the Samsung mobile hotspot will drop down and connect via 3G.

The 4G device will be available starting today in Verizon Wireless stores and online for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. The mobile hotspot will cost $50 per month for up to 5 GB of mobile broadband access. Additional details can be found at Verizon’s website or in the press release on the second page. Anyone in Verizon’s LTE coverage area going to scoop up this mobile hotspot?
