Looterang launches an iPhone app, lets you find personalized deals in your area

Scottsdale-based start-up Looterang is out with its iPhone app, allowing users to get personalized deals in their area. However, unlike other deal sites (i.e. Groupon), Looterang does its magic in the super hassle-free way which removes the need for coupons. The service links your debit or credit cards with the Looterang system to get you customized deals and cash back every time you swipe you card at a participating merchant. No need to present coupons or bar codes – it’s that easy.

The sad part is that Looterang is still not a nationwide service — at the moment, they’re offering deals at more than 150 local merchants in the greater Phoenix area but the plan is to expand to other places in the near future.

As for Looterang’s iPhone application, as you can imagine, it will enable you to easily locate participating merchants, while also allowing you to enrol in digital loyalty programs. It’s a free download so get it if you’re in Phoenix…
