Now that it has the new DROID RAZR MAXX, it’s only natural Verizon will slash the price of the original DROID RAZR. And that’s exactly what the carrier did, offering the thin-smartphone for $199.99 with a two-year contract.

At the moment, only the black version is available, with the white and purple one set to hit the offering on January 23rd. These two will also cost $199.99.

As for the contract you’ll be required to get with the DROID RAZR, Verizon suggests its Nationwide Talk plan beginning at $39.99 monthly access and a smartphone data package starting at $30 monthly access for 2 GB of data.

Again, the DROID RAZR rocks LTE connectivity, 8-megapixel rear-racing camera, 4.3-inch qHD screen, Wi-Fi, 16GB of on-board memory and a microSD memory card slot.
