Thus far we knew mophie for their ever-useful juice pack cases. Now they’re expanding to other areas, having announced the action sports camera case – OUTRIDE. And it’s much more than just another case as it combines both the hardware and software (an app), allowing users to record and share tricks, tracks, rides, and other “epic moments.” As such, OUTRIDE eliminates the need for dedicated video or camera devices (it has its own wide-angle lens), which not only add bulk, but can also cost over $300. What’s more, OUTRIDE is also waterproof and impact resistant, while featuring a variety of custom mounts to capture action shots in the surf, snow, dirt or concrete.

Mention companion application is designed as a complement to the hardware solution and it provides users with the ability to share their clips on the OUTRIDE community page as well as across various social media networks.

In terms of availability and pricing, the OUTRIDE will hit the stores in mid-September with a price tag ranging from $129.95 to $149.95, depending on the mounts you’ll want to buy with it.
