Nokia is bringing its new flagship smartphone, Lumia 920, to China which is now the world’s largest smartphone market. The special version of the device is marked as Lumia 920T and it’s heading to the country’s largest operator, China Mobile. From what we’re hearing, it won’t come with support for TD-SCDMA (China’s 3G standard) and will rather work on 2G (GSM) and 4G (TD-LTE) networks.

When it comes to availability, it is said that China Mobile will start selling the Nokia Lumia 920T at some point in November. If that’s true that would give the Finnish company an edge (early start) over other smartphone makers in such a big market, potentially bringing them back to profitability. That said, we’re not sure which other devices China Mobile plans to launch.

We’ll see how Nokia’s plans fold out, and in the meantime if you wonder how we got this information, it comes from China Mobile’s official account on Sina Weibo aka Twitter of China.
