Samsung announced that it has started mass production of wireless charging modules for smartphones. Developed by the company’s arm Samsung Electro-Mechanics, the module is super-thin, ready to be attached to smartphone’s back cover.
We’ve no idea which Samsung clients will use this technology but we’ll definitely see these modules built inside Sammy’s own smartphones. Speaking of which, the Galaxy S III is the first device made by the Korean company to support wireless charging and it’s safe to say its successor, Galaxy S IV, and few other models will come with this capability, too.
We like wireless charging and can’t wait to see it implemented in more smartphones. We’ll let you know how that goes…
