Verizon is becoming the latest company to jump on the Square bandwagon. The largest wireless provider in the US plans to sell readers in all of its retail stores across the country. The Square readers will go for $9.97, with a $10 rebate to a Square account.

Square is head and shoulders above all the other credit card readers in the market, as the company has a presence in major stores such as Starbucks, Walgreens, Staples, FedEX and Apple to name a few.

By bringing Square into the fold, Big Red is showing its commitment to its business clientele. When you have the countries largest and fastest network team up with the top credit card reader transaction company, you get a powerhouse. It’ll be interesting to see how Verizon utilizes Square with its marketing machine.
