Contact UsMetroPCS dropped what was once an unlimited plan of pretty good value. The $40 plan previously offered included unlimited talk, text, and Web for 4G LTE smartphone owners. MetroPCS isn’t replacing it with another low-end option for 4G customers but instead is pushing them toward the $50 and $60 options. The $40 per month option has been nonexistent for a while, however. A spokesperson for MetroPCS confirmed with FierceWireless that the carrier stopped offering the plan late last year, specifically when it stopped selling the Samsung Craft. The Samsung Craft was … Read more
MetroPCS is the first U.S. carrier to officially announce new devices at the CES (which BTW opens for public tomorrow). They’ve prepared two LTE smartphones for the big event – the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G and LG Connect 4G. First let’s talk about Sammy’s baby. It’s a mid-range device with a 3.5-inch screen, 1GHz processor, 3-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back and 1.3-megapixel front-facing one [camera]. MetroPCS will offer the Attain 4G for $199 plus tax, after a $50 mail-in rebate, with a two-year contract. Then there’s much … Read more

Good news for those of you with MetroPCS’ LG Esteem – you can now more easily root your smartphone of choice. Yep, the all-in-one root and custom recovery is out, compliments to AndroidForums.com ROM developer PlayfulGod, though credit also goes to Koush and RaidZero for their recoveries as well as zergrush for their root method. Both versions (one for Koush’s recovery and one for RaidZero’s) can be used on Windows and Linux. You should read *ALL* instructions at AndroidForums.com carefully before proceeding – if something, God forbid, goes wrong – … Read more
Well what do we have here – a new LG Android smartphone with MetroPCS logo that will most likely be unveiled at the CES in Las Vegas. The name of the device is LG Connect 4G (model number MS840), hinting us it’s ready to sing along the carrier’s LTE network. However, it’s not a high-end device — rather it’s made for smartphone buyers on a budget. Specs wise, LG’s baby comes with a 5-megapixel camera on the back, VGA front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage and a … Read more
Those of you looking to get a phone with MetroPCS contract may be glad to know that a selection of the carrier’s portfolio, including both feature phones and smartphone, is now available on Amazon.com. It’s not like buying a phone from MetroPCS’ website was a problem — it’s just that Amazon has its own clientele who more often than not prefer buying just about anything from the online retailer. After purchasing a handset on Amazon.com, customers will be able to activate service either by logging on to metropcs.com, visiting a … Read more
Sprint won’t be the only mobile operator offering the Samsung Conquer, with MetroPCS reportedly looking to add the mid-end smartphone to its portfolio. However, instead of sporting a WiMAX radio, MetroPCS’ version will come with LTE one, offering even faster download and upload speeds. Aside from the change of the radio, we’re hearing everything else will be the same. In that sense, expect a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, memory card slot, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show. … Read more
MetroPCS has picked up another Android phone, as users of the prepaid carrier can now pick up an HTC Wildfire S for about $180. If you think that nearly $200 may be too much for a mid-tier device like the Wildfire S, you’d best to remember that MetroPCS doesn’t come with a two-year contract, so you’ll be buying the phone outright. MetroPCs plans cost about $50 to $60 a month for unlimited plans. The cute phone rocks Android 2.3, 3.2-inch screen and you can have all the benefits of using … Read more
