Contact UsEarlier this week, MetroPCS announced that it would allow customers to bring their own GSM compatible devices to their network, a result of the migration of MetroPCS customers to T-Mobile’s LTE network. Today, T-Mobile is announcing that the migration of MetroPCS customers to T-Mobile’s HSPA+ and LTE network is ahead of schedule. “We’ve already begun moving MetroPCS customers to our blazing-fast network. Today, MetroPCS announced that its customers can now use unlocked GSM devices on their network, which has been solely CDMA up until this point. Well, this didn’t take long. After T-Mobile closed its deal in acquiring MetroPCS, the number four carrier in the United States wasted no time in unifying the two networks. MetroPCS will begin to use both Magenta’s network and GSM handsets on June 12th, according to a recently leaked document. This should come to no one’s surprise considering how T-Mob just launched the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit and the LG Optimus L9, which are both hitting MetroPCS as well. These two devices come with GSM / EDGE and AWS-capable UMTS / HSPA+ … Read more
MetroPCS may launch a successor to its Quattro 4G smartphone, which was unveiled in August last year. Chinese Coolpad has been showing Quattro II 4G during the CTIA Wireless 2013 and we can’t say we’re that much impressed. Then again, it’s a mid-range device that doesn’t attract geeks like us. Specs wise, the “next Quattro smartphone” rocks a 4.5-inch screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera on the back and, of course, LTE connectivity support. The exact launch date is still a mystery though we guess that and other details will … Read more
T-Mobile’s latest Windows Phone handsets is certainly one of the best, and we just walked away from handling it. We’re talking of the Nokia Lumia 925, of course. The 925 is both sleek, sexy, and has a great build quality to boot, thanks to its aluminum body. While the device is has a nice aluminum body, don’t think it to be a weighty piece of kit. It’s rather lights, and it’s 4.5 inch PureMotion HD+ fits in the hand very nicely. The rounded edges surrounding the device also help this … Read more

T-Mobile USA said it won’t shut down its GoSmart Mobile prepaid brand even after it closes the acquisition of MetroPCS. This in turn would leave the Deutsche Telekom-owned operator with two different prepaid brands. According to the telco’s spokeswoman Kari Ramsey, GoSmart Mobile is still going strong and it will be a “a complementary offering to both T-Mobile and MetroPCS offerings.” T-Mobile launched GoSmart nationwide in February, making it available at three price points ranging from $30 to $45 per month.
