Contact UsAnnounced back in February at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, HTC’s One X has been out on the market for a little over a month now. Two weeks ago Samsung announced their 2012 flagship in London, the Galaxy S III, and it’ll be on store shelves in 12 days. Which one should you get? That’s an incredibly difficult question to answer since it’s highly subjective. Some might prefer the One X for the design, while others prefer having a removable battery and the microSD slot on the Galaxy S III. … Read more
Just when we thought LG is the only handset maker with a smartphone that rocks 2GB of RAM, NTT DoCoMo and Samsung unveiled a version of the Galaxy S III (SC-06D) with the same amount of RAM. Set to hit Japan sometime “this summer,” this particular device will also ship with Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, rather than Samsung’s quad-core one. So we’re wondering – is that extra gig of RAM there to make things run smoothly on a dual-core processor? Two cores are not good enough for the proper … Read more
The brand new Samsung Omnia M has been caught at one web store just days after its official announcement. It’s Italian ePrice, which is listing the Windows Phone with the price tag of 294.99 EUR, which translates into some $380. Kinda steep for a smartphone with such specs; in comparison, the Nokia Lumia 710 costs 264.99 EUR, while its newer (though worse) sibling, Lumia 610, could be yours for 195.99 EUR. Now I don’t see why would anyone take the Samsung Omnia M over Nokia Lumia 710, but what do … Read more
Samsung is about to release another member of its DUOS range – Evan (GT-C3782). Aside from being able to take two SIM cards, there’s nothing special about this candybar. It comes with EDGE data support, 2.4-inch QVGA screen, 3-megapixel camera on the back, FM radio, Bluetooth, media player and web browser. In addition, the Evan also comes preloaded with Sammy’s own ChatON IM client that allows users to keep up with their buddies across multiple platforms, including Android, bada, iOS and BlackBerry. We don’t know when the new phone will … Read more
Looks like Samsung is preparing to release a new Windows Phone in China. The new device, marked as SCH-S759, has been caught while getting necessary Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certifications, with some blogs (Blog of Mobile) speculating it’s destined to join China Telecom’s portfolio. Of course, until we get the official press release from either China Telecom or Samsung, that’s just a rumor. Then again, we do know both Samsung and Microsoft want a piece of the ever growing Chinese mobile market and in that sense we wouldn’t be surprised to … Read more
It seems T-Mobile will be expanding its portfolio of Samsung smartphones in the near future. And I’m not talking about the brand new Galaxy S III, but something more affordable. Here’s the deal – T-Mobile’s version of the Galaxy S III is marked as T999, the Galaxy Note as T879, so what could the T699 be? Galaxy Nexus perhaps? It’s just a speculation at the moment, but the fact that its model number is lower than the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S III, as well as the 720p (720×1280 pixels) … Read more
It looks like people are starting to hold back from purchasing the latest phone to hit the market. Gartner today dropped some figures that detail the worldwide sales of mobile phones were down by 2 percent this quarter. This is the first time the market has declined since the second quarter of 2009. The way Gartner breaks down most of its findings is from calculating the slowing demand in Asia-Pacific region, due to a lack of compelling new devices during the quarter in review. Folks are simply being patient, keeping … Read more
Apple and Samsung have an interesting relationship. They compete against each other in the smartphone space, but when it comes to components, Apple simply can’t make anything without buying screens, processors, and memory chips from Samsung. Now Apple knows this, so they’ve been doing their best to wean themselves off the Samsung tit. According to DigiTimes, Apple recently placed a ridiculously large order with Elpida for RAM chips. How big of an order? Apple effectively bought half the supply that Elpida’s factory in Japan can produce. We know what you’re … Read more

When it comes to customer satisfaction, Apple dominates and RIM struggles. The 2012 ACSI report was the first time Apple, RIM, HTC, and LG were included in the cell phone manufacturer satisfaction category, making for an interesting inaugural cellular satisfaction report. The 2012 report shows that Apple has amassed a staggering 83% customer satisfaction ranking, becoming the first cellular company to break the 80% mark. Apple was a full 8 percentage points ahead of Nokia, HTC, and LG, who shared the number 2 spot at a 75% rating. Motorola and Samsung … Read more
Most folks haven’t heard of Straight Talk, but they’re America’s largest prepaid operator. They have agreements with all four of the major operators, unlike other prepaid operators who piggy back on just one network. Anyway, this week they’re launching a new phone: the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim. It has a 3.5 inch 480 x 320 pixel display, 1 GHz processor, and a 3 megapixel camera. All that will cost you $180 all in, with the service costing just $45 per month for unlimited talking, texting, and what’s assumed to be 2 … Read more
