Low-end ZTE E520 caught on FCC on its way to MetroPCS

Thanks to the good ol’ FCC, we know a new phone is heading to MetroPCS. It’s the ZTE E520 which won’t impress many with its feature set. We’re talking about a low-end candybar that’s good enough for texting in calling. It comes with a tri-band CDMA radio, and we guess Bluetooth connectivity, some media playback capability, and the ability to sing along some of the carrier’s services such as MetroWeb.

And that’s about all we got at the moment. As soon as we hear something new, we’ll let you know. Actually, we’ll only talk about the E520 once it’s officially launched — it already got enough space considering its entry-level “nature.”

Once released, I would expect that MetroPCS asks no more than $100 for the ZTE phone, and that’s without any contract signing. I could be wrong, though.

In the meantime, if you care to get some additional details, you can go through E520’s docs on FCC’s website.
