‘City Fido’ Plans Coming to Winnipeg

City Fido Plan Comes to Winnipeg

It’s not often that my lovely hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada makes its way onto the news scene in the mobile world. But when it does, I tend to hold on to the news like a bear on a cooler full of camping food. Or something.

While this news isn’t anything stunning, folks in the Winnipeg area will surely want to take note. Fido has just launched the ‘City Fido‘ plan for the City of Winnipeg. This hasn’t hit the Fido site yet, but it’s coming. Breaking it down, this means two things for my dear Winnipeggers: First, there will be a $40 plan that offers 2,000 anytime local minutes and unlimited text within Canada. Second, a $60 plan will give you 4,000 anytime local minutes and unlimited text within Canada.

So there you have it. I’ll keep an eye open for more news on this, especially when it goes ‘official’ on the Fido site.

Note: We’ve also heard ‘network expansion in Manitoba will take place this Friday’. Oooh. Stay tuned for more on that as well.
